We have been placing our Follett laser-printed barcodes on cards and then
pouch-laminating them for years. We have had no problem with them. In
fact we found that the glossy finish makes them easier to read. You might
try popping the tip off your pen scanner and cleaning the inside. Follett
can provide more directions on this.
