Microsoft Works in Education, a 24-page newsletter for K-12 educators who use Microsoft Works, announces a contest for authors of articles on classroom and teacher productivity uses of Microsoft Works. A 10-license pack of Works will be awarded to schools designated by the authors of articles selected for publication in MSWE. The authors of the four best articles from among those published will also receive a copy of Microsoft Office. Deadline for submission of articles is August 15, 1994. Articles must be original and previously unpublished. They should describe classroom material or administrative/personal productivity tools created with Microsoft Works (any version and platform--Windows, Macintosh, or MS-DOS). Articles can pertain to any discipline and should be approprate for teachers at the preschool, elementary, or secondary grade levels. Specific, step-by-step instructions for creating and/or using the material should be given.
