Pam, I am in two public elementary school libraries K-5.  I always purchase the
Caldecott award books, winner and runners up, and usually the Newbery books,
although there if the books are really Young Adult I may rethink that purchase.
Sometimes a hard decision.  I also look for books which have won other awards,
and use these award books as  as suggestions for purchasing. Ill be interested
in hearing the results of your survey.
