I choose between popular and traditional about 75% popular. Some
traditional stuff I have for requests or to urge students to read
but there is some very good popular stuff out there too! I will
not purchase "Sweet Valley High" or other series but put some on
the shelf which are gifts or discards from other libraries. These
"cardboard, formula" series will bring in kids but it is our
job to direct them to other things too!
