I see that the steps to evaluate any electronic product are: 1. Evaluate the content using the same criteria as you would a print product (authoritativeness, currency, etc., etc. The data has to come from somewhere, putting it in electronic form does not make it better data. 2. Evaluate the quality of the electronic product. Things like Boolean searching, maximum access points (all fields indexed), etc. If you can't access the data better or faster than you can in the print version, then why do it. 3. Evaluate the place in the instructional process. This last one has to be the most important.
