?T.V. Production Studios

Do any of you have television studios in schools that are networked for
video?  I am the media specialist for a new middle school that will be
opening up in the fall and am trying to get more information on exactly
what kind of equipment is needed to enable the transfer of signals
directly from the camera in the studio to the control panel in the "head-in"
room of the video distribution center.

I'm trying to get specific information on any special jacks, adaptors,
and wiring necessary.  Please respond directly to me and I will post
responses if I get a number of them.
