No inventory??? How do you know what you have? And what you need? Yes, public libraries do inventories--they do it on a rotating basis. We are placing barcodes on the outside of the books, in the upper left hand corner of the back covers, so that they can be scanned (using a hand-held device) by merely tipping the book off the shelf.
