I was in my 8th grade earth science class and the principal
came on the intercom and told us the president had been shot.
I will never forget the numbers of students who started
shouting "Hurray!!! The president has been shot". As
incredible as it seems, there were actually teenagers who were
rejoicing!
As for me, I was very scared and that was confirmed when I got
home to see my parents also scared and horrified. After the
Cuban missle crisis and then the assassination, my young world
was never the same.
