I have all the Booklinks from the very first issue. They are so wonderful that I bought back issues last year so I could have both circulating and non-circulating copies. People would become very angry when they came to use it and it was checked out to another teacher. It is perfect for schools doing Whole Language or Interdisciplinary units in a k-6 setting. It features books or themes and then gives you all the other books that would help support that effort. It is great for getting materials from a good collection and just as great for collection development for libraries that need help in a particular area. You might like to subscribe and you DEFINITELY would like to buy all the past issues if still available. They have all been Above Average like the kids in Lake Wobegone.
