Date sent: 28-APR-1995 20:50:27 LM_NET Guru Mike Eisenberg was the keynote speaker at the Wisconsin Educational Media Association (WEMA) in Madison this week. The topic of his talk was "Library Media Programs: Thriving in the Technological Jungle." Also newsworthy to LM_NET members was Jungle." Also newsworthy to LM_NET members was the LM_NET breakfast this morning where Mike mentioned that "LM_NET is not just an electronic discussion group but an electronic community." More than 80 people attended that breakfast at 7:00 a.m. (Yes, that was the correct time.) The breakfast was sponsored by Linworth publishing co, who bring us the new periodical _Technology Connection_ and other educational publications. Marlene Woo-Lun, publisher, arranged the breakfast. About half of those in attendance were subscribers, so expect there to be 40 more members soon. It was a great opportunity to match names and faces, and do some networking in person. Mike mentioned that we should stay tuned for information concerning an LM_NET moo. A good time was had by all to quote somebody. Michele Michele Missner Appleton High School West 610 N.
