Winnebago and DOS 6

We recently had to upgrade our server running Winn 6.31 to access
more high memory.  As a result we also went from DOS 3.3 to 6.22.
The WINN menu backup on 6.31 does not work with DOS 6+.  Winnebago
will fax programming instructions to activate the backup funcxtion,
however.  Also, we found that the Winnebago Lansmart network software
that we were using also conflcist with DOS 6. We had to get Lansmart
3.3 from Winnebago for our network to run on the new server and DOS 6.
As more of you will be faced with hardware upgrades, I thought these
items may be of interest.  It took us the better part of 6 weeks to
make the transition, diagnose the bugs, and tweak the system to get it all
running again.  It would have been helpful if Winnebago had published
an alert about these matters, though.
