And now for a word from your system administrator: Let's assume you have a basic unix shell account with no menu features. To create a signature file do this: 1. From the command prompt use a text editor (pico will give you PINE-like windows) to create a .signature file unix% pico .signature 2. Make a simple five line signature file. 3. Save the file as .signature, .sig, .name or whatever BUT make sure it's a . (dot) file so it's excutable. 4. From the unix prompt edit your .pinerc unix% pico .pinerc 5. Scroll to about line 75 and edit the line signature= to read signature=.signature 6. Save and exit Since your .signature file is executable you can use it with your newsreader, or whatever.
