We use flexible schedule and regularly schedule book talks.

The staff and I both agreed we wanted to keep book talks on schedule.
Our students clamor for these books so we think this is successful.
And, quite frankly, I enjoy sharing the books and didn't want to stop
this practice. This is also very important for our teachers who may not
keep current with new publications

At the primary level, I share one book but add *whistles and bells* for
each book - plus discussion from Kindergarten through 6th.

At the intermediate level, the number of books shared vary - sometimes, I
emphasize one book, sometimes I emphasize several under one theme or type.

I think we should balance presentation of nonfiction and fiction titles and
begin at the kindergarten level and continue through the sixth grade.

Library programs vary. I think it would be very interesting to hear what
other librarians, media specialists or information specialists include
in their programs.

Thanks for posting!
