Collecting Overdues

I thought all of you LM_NETTERS would enjoy this true story about
collecting overdue books.  My superintendent sent me a copy of a police
report that contained the following:

        Jan. 24, 1:30 p.m., police arrested a 23-year-old Lexington woman
under Nebraska theft statutes for failing to return overdue books to the
Lexington Library.  The books were due in early December.

Maybe this is the solution we've all been looking for.  We'll have all of
our students/patrons with overdue books arrested!  Truth is stranger than
fiction!
