Hello, my name is Tim Rise and I am a senior at River Ridge High School. I am doing a senior project on the Transcontinental Railroad. I was looking for information and found in a National Geographic Index that there was an article from 1902 that had to do with with railroads. The name of the article was "Shortening Time Across the Continent," by Henry Herbert McClure. The date was August 1902. The page numbers are 319-321. I am also requesting a National Geographic article from October 1899. The title is Railroads and Canals, and the page # is 420. If any of you could fax pages of those articles I would be most appreciative. The fax number is 360-493-9615. If any of you know of a gopher of telenet sites dealing with Transcontinental Railroad, Union Pacific Railroad, Central Pacific Railroad, or even Promontory Point in Utah, would you send addresses to Irene Clise, Librarian. Thanks a lot. Irene Clise Library Media Specialist River Ridge High School 8929 Martin Way East Olympia, Washington 98516 iclise1@mickey.esd113.wednet.edu
