LM_NET: Library Media Networking
People occasionally ask for good software titles, and I have one I would
like to recommend. It is from The Learning Company (800-852-2255). amd
is titled Super Solvers Gizmos & Gadgets. This is a great game that teaches
students all about physical science. Although I have seen it recommended
for grades 3-6, I have had it on the library computer since September and
still have a core of about 30-40 students, grades 6-8 (out of a student
body of 325) who eagerly sign up to use the game as often as they can.
I think it costs about $60.00, and I know it comes in Windows and DOS
(not sure about MAC). It has just been reviewed in the latest issue of
Science and Children.
