Last week I posted a note about the SI swimsuit issue and asked if anyone else had the problem about mail not being delivered to the LMC after it had entered the school. I was amazed at the number of responses! It certainly seems this is a common problem at every level. If you can't get cooperation from the school secretary/clerks/aides or if they want to cooperate but can't buck the boss (who is taking the mail), then another solution is to get the mail yourself. None of these solve the problem for us. It isn't a chronic problem (although I never have complete runs of periodicals as I never recover all of them from the summer months). I guess there are some things that fall under the 'grin and bear' it banner. Anyone else have any solutions? Everyone feels local papers are the major loss although People, Time, Newsweek and USA Today are close behind. -- Catherine Cheely - ccheely@leo.vsla.edu Library Media Specialist,Brunswick Senior High,Lawrenceville, Va.23868 804 848-6287 (fax) 804 848-2796
