Margaret,
A possible answer-print another copy of your bar codes on plain paper and
keep them in a binder at the circ desk. I keep mine by type of equipment.
You may also need to put the bar code number on the equipment with felt tip
pen. Actually, if you can manually enter numbers, that might solve your
problem.
