Pine folders can be deleted from the LIST folders command.  At the bottom
of the screen is the command for deleting.  When you are looking at the
folders and you delete, the entire folder is gone.

I imagine you can export your folders to disk the way you export anything
else.  That is somewhat dependent upon your communications software package.
However, I'm not sure.  I've been meaning to clear out all my folders by
exporting to disk.  I just haven't yet.
