------ ------------------ If the library's mission has been to provide reading incentives for everyone, to provide all types of literary and informational resources, and to help children and staff to use resources within the framework of the curriculum, how do we fulfill our mission now with the proliferation of materials (even small libraries) throughout the building? As teachers creat large collections of uncataloged trade books, CD ROMs and laserdiscs in classrooms and labs how does our mission and our role change? What positive changes can or should we make? If this query is answered in the archives, I apologize. Without a gopher I don't have access to the archives, but if enough of you reply, I'll post a hit. TIA. You'll help me redesign my program.
