?Holocaust poetry

I'm looking for a book from which the one-act play,
"I Never Saw Another Butterfly" was taken.  The play
was about children in the Nazi camps during WWII and
the poetry they wrote.  My principal thinks the play
was based on a book by the same or similar name.  Can
anyone help?  Please reply to me directly.  Many thanks
