With regard to job title for what we all are doing - I like information
specialist, if we can get anyone but ourselves to adopt it. In Queensland,
and perhaps in all of Australia, the position is called Teacher Librarian.
I like that, too, and I think that I'd be glad to have that the official
designation, since it would distinguish my job form all the other kinds of
librarians, and also give recognition to the teaching that we all do as a
