CD-ROM drives, networked

This is my first post. I think I messed up with earlier message.
Our library has never had networked CD-ROM drives. We will be
upgrading our 4 OPAC workstations to 486/33s (networked to a
server at the central district office) and would like to
network SIRS and other CDs. Our district technology director has
asked me to inquire about the best way to do this.  Is it better
to daisy-chain individual drives to a server or would a tower
with drives work better?
