Greetings discussion

I would not subscribe to a separate list established for greetings, but I
do respond, when I have time, to those posted on LM-NET.  My responses are
usually quick,  "Welcome to the I-WAY" and my signature tag.  A few key
strokes and I'm finished.  Sometimes I send my favorite "smileys"
especially when writing to an elementary school class. ?8-> (Surfer Dude)

These requests also give me a snap shot of how the net is being applied
in a variety of school districts, and to what extent the media specialist
is involved in that process.  I wouldn't want to loose that insight.
