I seem to have created a tempest in the 'net by my "shoot from the hip"
comment that BCE and CE are "politically correct" substitutions for BC
and AD--I stand corrected--I never ran into them until very recently.
THank you, all those who gave me the background on them, I think they are
fine for those who have a problem with BC and AD.
