Shelflist cards still?

  We are using Circulation/Catalog Plus at my high school.  I am
wondering about those of you who are also fully automated...Do you
still keep shelf list cards?
  Most of our materials are bought processed, but for those that
require original cataloging, our paraprofessional spends hours
getting those cards "just right."   She's been typing catalog cards
for thirty years or more, and she's hard to convince it's no longer
necessary.  Any suggestions?
