Well, this may be a very naive question, but I'm going to ask it anyway.I am all by myself in my Library Media Center. It is brand new (this fall) and it is my first job as a School Library Media Center. It is a small (300 students) K-6 independent day school. We are on a fixed schedule. Each class comes in once a week, for 45 minutes. The last 15-20 minutes is spent selecting and checking out books. One or two parents come in with each class to handle book check in, reshelving and check out, so that I can be roaming, suggesting books, and helping with the computer catalog, not tied to the check out desk. My question is this: If you are on a flexible schedule, how do you notify the parent volunteers when to come in? They only want to come in with their child's class, and need to know well in advance when to come in, so they can plan their lives. Thanks in advance, Yapha **************************************************************************** Yapha Nussbaum Brentwood School - West Campus School Library Media Specialist Los Angeles, CA yaphan@aol.com ****************************************************************************
