Adult volunteers are important to have. First--they can make a real contribution to your program. Second--the school, as a whole, needs adult volunteers for public relations, community support, and good will. Third--the students need to see adult volunteers in the school to make a powerful point about the value of the school and the value of education. The advantages are deep and powerful. The disadvantages are shallow and surmountable. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Donna Cook, library teacher Raguet Elementary, Nacogdoches ISD, and Douglass ISD, and First Baptist Nacogdoches, TX Douglass, TX Nacogdoches, TX <dsc@tenet.edu> "The best education is caught--not taught" <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< On 8 Apr 1996, Kimberly Parnell wrote: > I am looking for information about the pros and cons of having > adult volunteers in the media center.
