automation for Windows 95

Dear Colleagues;
In the North Kansas City,MO School District, we are exploring new library
automation packages.  We are currently automated and would like to upgrade
to a Windows program.  Please share your experiences with our group.
Our concerns are:
1)which program to choose (based on ease of use for grades k-12, MARC
records, technical support, etc.)
2)possibly finding a program that will run with our administrative package
so we have access to student schedules and so we do not have to enter and
drop students (and our administration would like for the programs to work
together)
3)adding a union catalog
4) any ideas on the advantages and disadvantages of operating from a
district mainframe.

I realize this is a very busy time for everyone.  Your input is greatly
appreciated!
