TARGET: medical references

Our 9-12 high school library needs to update/replace a multivolume set of
Fishbein's medical encyclopedias.  What are you using that is valuable and
affordable, and not too technical?  We have a nurse/teacher who teaches
health occupations, an active social issues research class, and faculty in
need of current health and medical information.
