Hit 'The Ravens'

Thanks to the 59 replies including the 3 who sent the poem and the many who
offered to do so. My background is Geography/Economics so such questions
leave me floundering but not when I have LM_NET to turn to. And I told the
student not to be too hopeful as the Americans are on holidays:-)
I am going to a regional teacher-librarians meeting tomorrow and will
recount this to them. While I could have rung some of them with English
subject backgrounds, it would have dragged them from their tasks and not
nearly as simple as using a Listserv.
The poem is The Raven by American author Edgar Allan Poe.  It was written
in 1845
'Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,'
