Greetings:

The Hendrick Hudson School District in Montrose, NY has two openings
for the 1996-97 school year for certified library media
specialists.Montrose is about 40 minutes north of New York City in
Westchester County.  It is a suburban community with 3 elementary
schools, a middle school and a high school.  The openings are in 2 of
our elementary schools.  We are all going through automation right
now with the Mandarin system.  We all have a CD-ROM tower and some
additional technology that varies from building to building.  The
elementary library media specialists are responsible for computer
skills to some extent and library/information/research skills.  As
library media specialists, we are given release time to meet monthly
to discuss common issues and to plan for joint ventures.  We hold an
annual April event with storytelling, readings, etc. that brings
250-450 folks together.
