I've summarized the questions suggested. There was some duplication and cross-over, so I did combine a few: 1. Describe one accomplishment of yours (as an administrator) of which you are extremely proud. 2. What three adjectives would staff members use to describe you? What three adjectives would students use to describe you? 3. What books have you read for personal enjoyment in the last three months? 4. What book would you suggest to a professional colleague that you feel is a "must-read?" 5. As an incoming principal, please describe the library media center model you would like to see as part of the building, as well as the role of the library media specialist. 6. How would you handle a challenge of school materials--library materials, books assigned by the English department, textbook, etc? 7. Why do you feel you are the best person for this position? 8. What does your current library situation look like, and how would you improve it? The superintendent and the other three staff members and I met to decide on which questions we would like to ask. He had already formulated 13 questions, and each of us got to ask two more questions. After June 12, I can share with you the questions we actually asked, if anyone is interested. I can't share them now--wouldn't want to give anyone and edge over another! Thanks for your input! (Does anyone know any of the candidates that applied for our principal position??!!! I'd love to hear from you!)
