Hi, My American Heritage Dictionary, 2nd Ed. gives *vulgar or coarse* as one meaning for profane. The four letter word inquestion is listed as *Vulgar Slang* So I guess it might be considerd profanity wherever one lives. Interestingly the next entry is *pixx ant* listed as *Slang* but not vulgar. Even so I put in the x's just in case. Now does that mean that this expression meaning *a stickler for petty details* does not come from the slang word for urinate? I suppose I will have to go the unabridged or even Oxford. Can the answer be found on the Internet? I really tried to stay out of this....I always get so involved in my researching. To all those wonderful people who answered my plea concerning automating with speed....thanks a bunch. I know I should be compiling a hit instead of messing about with this.
