ELE: Combating Homophobia

Dear LM_NETters,

Recently the issue has been raised in my school that homophobia is something
that needs to be stopped at an early age. A committee of teachers was formed,
and one of the suggestions they came up with was to have books in the library
that illustrate a variety of lifestyles and family units.

We are a K-6 school. I know about _Heather has two mommies_ and _Daddy's
Roommate_. What are some other books out there, for this age-level, that have
homosexual characters in a positive light, or at least show homosexuality as
an alternative lifestyle.
