Greetings: looking to purchase an optical (color) scanner. need some quick answers a. what are the odds that most items (documents) scanned will need to be proofed to remove improperly recognized letters / characters? b. what is considered to be the best on the market? c. are there scanners that ' learn ' to recognize characters? d. what is the best software? e. do files have to be saved as gif / jpgs files? and are there scanners that save text in one format and pictures in another fomrat? f. what is considered to be the best color scanner on the mkt? g. AND would one be just as well severed buying a digital camera? or would its format be incompatible with document, text, wps files??? and add other suggestions, etc. that you feel appropriate on the subject, be it horrow stories, or more. thanks. reply direct.
