Dear Group: At our district library meeting last week one of the members asked why at the secondary level more schools don't use the Library of Congress classification system rather than the Dewey Decimal system because the LC system is what most colleges use. I explained my reasons for the choice but are there any more definitive answers out there? Has there been an official statement by the library community? Send your answers to me directly please. I will try to post a hit if the desire is there and if I can figure out how to post a hit using Netscape mail. TIA Margie -- Margaret M.
