ELEM:MARDI GRAS THEME

My k-8 Catholic school is planning a school wide theme of Mardi Gras to
run from January 6th through Ash Wednesday.

I have books about Mardi Gras, and found lots of Web sites to explain its
history.
Our teachers are looking for activities that have worked in other schools.

Has anyone ever desgined such a theme?  Do you know where I could find
lesson plans to integrate social studies, math and literature for such a
large age span?
