Re: Copyright? book jackets

A couple of years ago I wrote and called several publishers trying to get
new covers for some books that were still in very good condition but were
missing their covers.  They were titles that were still in print so I
thought I might be able to get a new cover.  I also tried Permabound type
binders.  The only company I got any reply from was  the publisher of
TikkiTikki Tembo... (Harper's ?? I forget and am at home so can't get to
the book and am not bothering to go to the Web.. :)).  Other than that
one company I had no luck.  I have photocopied a cover from another copy
of a book to replace a cover.  It looks good.  Hope I didn't violate
copyright...
