The students were the subject of an Amnesty International alert when they were jailed and tortured for peaceful protest at the University of Yaounde. Eric participated in that alert and the students got a copy of his letter and wrote back to him. I see their letter as an opportunity to learn about the world we live in and do something meaningful for subjects of torture. I have the letter in the original French and in the English translation. If you know of a social studies teacher or French teacher who would be interested in seeing the letters, you can e-mail to me or write or e-mail to my brother. Eric Halbeisen P.O. It seems all my questions are answered here, so I might as well try again! My supervisor has just asked me to do some "storytelling" for a Christmas function we are putting on at school. I have done storytelling before, but never with Christmas as the theme. Does anyone have any good stories (religious or not) to tell, or good resources to turn to? My supervisor indicated that she would prefer that I actually tell the stories and not read them. This will be for K-6 grade students. Please mail all responses directly to me, and I will be glad to post a hit when I have compiled them all. Thanks so much!
