Hi Dick,
I know how you feel.  Besides being the Head Librarian (K-12) and teaching
Spanish 1 and 2 classes, I'm also the concession coordinator this year.
This pays 5% extra (not much but at least it's something).   I also worked
this summer trying to get both my libraries "up and well" before school
started on my own time--I overlook the elementary (1 aide) and manage the
secondary library (no aide).    And like you said, it'll help me more in
the long run.     Does your contract call for extra-curricular activities
with some sort of compensation?  Has this been brought to your School
Board?
I need a favor of you.  I've tried posting a question but can't manage to
do this on my computer.  I get all this messages but can't send one out.
Since I've got the concession this year, my school doesn't have
responsibilities and duties policies.  Everything is pretty much "you do
this" here, I don't want to end up blamed for something I was suppose to do
but didn't know I had to.  I'm really excited but would like to have
something in writing (contract?) about what my responsibilities really are
and those whom I'll be supervising. Would you post: Looking for policies on
concessions.  Something/anything in writing that I can go by.
Your help is greatly appreciated.  M
