ELEM: 2nd and 5th grade computer classes

Dear LM_NET Friends,

As the new library media specialist, I have to teach computer classes to the
2nd and 5th grades for one half hour every other week. They had computer last
year and the 5th graders basically did word processing and the 2nd graders
did Kid Works 2. I will not have an Internet connection by the first class.
Do you have any suggestions for the 2nd graders? I have Kid Pix and Kid
Works-also the Elementary Bundle for  MAC.  I would love to do Grolier's with
the 5th graders but have not had responses when I tell the teachers that I
want to integrate these lessons with the classroom curriculum.  Any
suggestions for a generic Grolier's lesson? Thanks so much.
