HIT - Deegan Expressway

The Major Deegan Expressway in NY is named after William F. Deegan.  He
was a major in WWI under General George Goethals.  He eventually became
polically involved with Mayor Jimmy Walker where he was in charge of the
Mayor's Committee on  Receptions to Distinguished Guests.
