We cancelled -- our average bill was $30 per month (when we used the 800
number). The month after we cancelled, our bill was $130! I called and
asked for an explanation and "she" said that we were having to pay a "sur
charge" per minute for the 800 number. When I said that our version did
not mention a "sur charge" and that this was the first billing that
included the sur charge, she said, "You must have used an old version."
We used the most recent one that we had received in the mail.

You can tell, I was NOT happy with AOL! We paid the $130 and considered
it a valuable learning experience.
