I am currently in limbo concerning a job that I have interviewed for and desperately want. WHEN I get a call for a second interview I would like to be able to WOW them with suggestions concerning two different questions. The district has never had a librarian. They are wanting to go to an automated circ/cat system. I would like your pros and cons on Dynix, Winnebago, Athena, Follett and any others that might be worth looking into. Questions to answer would include price, capability to be networked (they want to hook it up to all of the classrooms in the new building), technical assistance, and how difficult it will be to get all of the materials on the system. If I'm understanding the situation correctly, most of the data entry, etc. will be done by parental volunteers. So, I'll need something not too difficult to explain and implement. The second question is concerning a system called STAR-NET, aka TI-NET. I would like to know something about this system. Thank you all so much for your input-ahead of time.
