TARGET ELEM: Cities and Towns

I have a teacher doing a unit on cities, towns, jobs, businesses,
buildings (Kids Town).  The bibliography that came with the lesson plan
listed books slightly below the reading/comprehension level of her
students (beginning 2nd graders).  Does anyone have any suggestions for
some picture books about this subject?  She's looking for themes like
running a pizza parlor, budgeting money, running a grocery store (or post
office or library, etc).  TIA  ;-)
