elementary- dictionary, thesaurus

Hello all, Happy holidays. Here's hoping I have my signature file correct
so that my message can get through. My principal has asked me for help in
selecting a set of dictionaries and thesauri for the school. I am a brand
new librarian, and have never taught before, so I am not sure what other
schools are using with success. We need materials that are very kid
friendly. Also, if anyone is using Scholastic's web browser and index,
could I hear from you as well? We are in the process of getting Internet
access, and we need a very kid friendly user interface. Please respond to
me directly. Thanks ever so much.
