One of my sixth grade teachers, in her 20's, wants a read-aloud which has enduring value, timeless themes and humor. She has several great read-alouds but is a little tired of the heavy themes that often predominate in "good" literature, and feels it is time to lighten up for at least some of the book. She wants it to be one that will grab kids that age but one they might not necessarily try on their own. Please mail me directly if you have suggestions. She will be spending her own money to buy a class set of this book in paper. Thanks, Becky *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Rebecca Endlich endlichr@edmonds.wednet.edu phone 206-670-7744 Oak Heights Elementary fax 206-670-7747 15500 18th Ave. W.
