Hit: Survey

Hi, all,

        Although I served 3 years as library media specialist at my former
school, I was working with a head librarian who had many years
experience in the job.  (I also was a classroom teacher for 22 years.)
This year I am going to be on my own in a K-5 school.

        The exiting media specialist found this a very challenging
position, with student behavior and teacher attitude being less than
desirable.  She has moved on.  I am very excited about the wonderful
possibilities coming my way.  I want to make some changes, but will have
to do this gradually.

        My first objective is to present a survey to the teachers.  I want them
to let me know what I can do for them.  They need to express feelings,
thoughts, and ideas that will let me know how I can support the needs of
both the students and the faculty.  I will meet with all grade levels,
and would like to have the surveys in hand so we can discuss these
needs.  If you have such a survey, or some ideas on what I might include
in mine, please share them with me.  Our staff returns to school on
August 19, and I would like to have it for them at that time.  All help
will be *greatly* appreciated.
