Hello Friends, The technology coordinator at our corporation just sent me the following email, needing some info. If any of you have time to send along some advice and/or information, we would appreciate it very much. At the end of the year we had a situation occur where a high school teacher showed "Jerry Maguire" (R-rated) to a group of kids, and he got in a *bunch* of trouble! The kids told him it was rated PG, and he didn't know any better, and didn't check it out. Now our school board is wanting us to come up with some kind of policy (rightfully so--this is long overdue in our corporation. Thanks for your input! Bonnie, I was wondering if you could ask on the listserv that you belong to if anyone has or knows of any written video policies or procedures for schools. I haven't had time to add my name to a listserv yet and sort of need this info soon. I have made some phone calls and checked a little on the Internet but can't find anything. I have been asked to put something in writing concerning videos and the media retrieval system. ************************************************************* Bonnie LaClave Phone 765-436-2333 Library Media Specialist Fax 765-436-2630 Thorntown Elementary 200 Mill Street Thorntown, IN 46071 *************************************************************
